As everyone knows I got married right out of high school to my soul mate, Norman Bowman. He joined the Air Force and we made our home in San Antonio, Texas and then Montgomery, Alabama. We moved back to Rockwood in 1977 and I started my career in banking. While in banking, I had many different jobs, everything from teller work to being a Operational Regional Manager for seventeen banking centers. I retired ten years ago to stay at home with our youngest son, Chadley who had a traumatic brain injury. Sadly, my dear son passed away last August in a water accident. Our oldest son, Eric is a M.D. in Rockwood with Summit Medical and has a very active practice. It seems like he moved home at the perfect time because several doctors retired shortly after he came to Rockwood. We are the very proud grandparents of twin granddaughters that are seven years old. I pass most of my time volunteering for my church, doing things with my granddaughters, and traveling as much as possible. I am in a prayer shawl ministry, community ministry, and a very active UMW. I also serve as the church's Sunday School Director. Since the loss of my son, I have been very focused on reuniting with all my old friends but in the process I am not forgetting all the new ones that I have acquired via my church.
